Isabelle Bleecker

An industry veteran with over 30 years in book publishing, now based in New York’s Hudson River Valley, Isabelle Bleecker has devoted her career to words, ideas, and authors. She has held positions across editorial, production, and subsidiary rights in several houses including Rizzoli International, Tuttle Publishing, and the Perseus Books imprints (including Basic Books, Counterpoint Press, Da Capo Press, and PublicAffairs, among others), giving her a thorough insider’s understanding of every aspect of the trade book business. Her agenting focus is on idea-driven nonfiction that expands our understanding of the world in science, investigative journalism, smart self-help, and narrative history, especially history focused on the lost or untold stories of our past, and commentaries on the world in which we live. She also handles literary fiction and YA fiction with an international flair and from voices with fresh new stories and perspectives.
